I would learn Elvish, yes I am a geek, but it sounds cool! Also Spanish is useful and my native indian toungue would be cool!

Arabic- it has a beautiful alphabet and an amazing morphology system.
Korean- I have a friend from Korea; they also have a cool alphabet.
Biblical Greek and Hebrew- would be very useful for me since I am a Christian.
Welsh- just for fun; I have some friends from Wales, too.

Hindi..Chinese..Italian..
Though Italian or Spanish maybe suit me best as most people think I am Italian of Spanish..lol

I already speak six languages ... Spanish and Arabic are the next two on my list ... I am trading self defense lessons for language lessons and in a few more years will have Spanish and Arabic added ...

... but I am also interested in Klingon ...

Romanian. Because that would be the sixth language out of the eight Roman languages I still have to learn.

- (sorry its 4/7) Spanish, Italian, French and Latin I already know. It really is not hard to learn. I do not speak all of them fluently but I can understand it and my reading is perfect. It's almost scary how much these languages are alike and how many people do not understand eachother.
  For example the word sun in the following order, Latin, French, Italian, Catalan, Portugese, Romanian, Spanish is:
  solem, soleil, sole, sol, sol, soare, sol. In every language the word starts with the same characters, even the pronounciation is similar.

- We get French, German, English, Greek, Latin, Spanish and Italian (and dutch ofcourse)in school. You have to learn German, Dutch and English. Greek and Latin are added when you follow smartypants education and French you are obliged to take, comes with a certain profile you must choose and Spanish and Italian are optional.

- WAHAW!! that's simply...awesome for you! We get English and hindi compulsarily here and a third language depending on what state you live in...i got to learn marathi...as i said, all regional (and boring)

- Well, it would have been awesome if they had left the mathematics out. Only because of that I failed. I can learn any language, but unfortunately that is not how the system works. I am intelligent but when people look at my resume they see I have graduated on a slightly lower rank (because of the math) well then I can only dream of the job.. Its so unfair. They judge you on a piece of paper. I hate it.

- oh well, the thing about the grades is everywhere. and it pisses me off too. and the worst part is that they keep telling us grades aren't everything and still when it comes to decide, it's the grades that matter!! but it's a good thing to know languages...always helps...translators are very well paid..that's what i learned from a friend. we were having a similar discussion just the other day...
