  • Here's a link to a site that can provide a lot of detail to adjusting GMT to your time zone Wisdom. http://www.worldtimezone.com/ It looks to me like you'd add 5.5 hours (5:30) to GMT to get your local time. For my time zone, GMT -6, I'd normally subtract 6 hours from GMT, but since we're on Daylight Savings Time (DST)I subtract 5 hours. From this site, it looks like you don't observe DST, so in case you're not familiar with DST, DST is adding an hour to the clocks to take advantage of longer daylight hours during a part of the year. The result is you start your day an hour earlier.
  • If you are gettin GMT in Yahoo you are having your account with Yahoo England. You ask Yahoo to change your account to Yahoo India. Then you will get the times in IST. You could also ask for the Yahoo India home page.
