Love conquers all. Even music that makes people cringe.
-
Yes, but it would be difficult.
-
prolly not. music is my life. literally. and if someone listening to shitty music, i would go crazy.
-
No, the thought of listening to that for life would be like a prison sentence.
-
It would be hard...but I suppose I would.

If I were still in the dating game, sure! Heck, if my wife can put up with mine (Bounding Main, Abney Park, Zakas, Jolly Rogers, Metallica, Aerosmith, The Chieftains, etc), then I can at least put up with anything she will listen to!
-
If I were dating, no. Music is such an important thing to me, and because my choice of music is so personal to me, to date a person who liked music I hate would be hard to acclimatize to. It's just like dating a woman with a child. No way.
-
Nope ... if you don't like their MUSIC ; then there will be many other differences that you do not like or have in common ... YOU absolutely need things in common to sustain a relationship .. +5
-
I'd have a hard time tolerating some music, like Yoko Ono for sure.
-
Is she reeeeeeeeaaaallllyyyy hot?
-
Actually... I am. Although we have some common ground. We both like country, and she's developed a taste for celtic as well. Try as I might, though, I still can't bring myself to listen to her rap.
-
I would. Thank you, Sony for the Walkman and Apple for the iPod: let love flourish in our musically balkanized society.
-
Country? Hawaiian? Rap? Il Devo? I don't know man.
-
Yes, but I wouldn't date an idiot so I might get to like her music. All types of music have good tunes and bad tunes. I would expect her to be open minded about it as well. If she has kids I might not like their music.
-
I love all kinds of music except for rap and just plain noise. It has to be music. Well actually I do like some kinds of rap, not much though.
-
depends on the extent.... my would date someone whos musical taste didn't match mine, but I would not date someone who liked explicit music. I am a family man and if I do not want my kids to sing along I do not want it played in my presence either
-
probably not very long.
-
i did once .. i learned to like theirs but they had no respect for mine.. it was always his music even in my car ! needless to say we are not together any longer.
-
Sure I'd just use ear plugs.
-
depends. My fiance listens to music I don't care for but I rarely ever hear it. However I can't see myself being with someone who likes Country music.
-
If everything else was wonderful; I would.
-
Yes - in fact I married her...
-
No probably not. Music is so much a part of my life. It would have to just awful and in that case be lacking a major component of what makes me tick.
-
i married him +5
-
Yeah. I just wouldn't go on dates to concerts with them :P
-
I do. She believes 'our song' is a that I can't stand to listen to. I hear it, and I have to pop three doses of Xanax to keep from putting my head through the wall. It'll be a great first dance. It's not THAT bad, though. We're both musicians, and we agree on most 'traditional' levels. But on other levels... well, I like jazz (which she hates), and she likes whatever junk is on the radio (which I have to tolerate). Ole.
