  • I would check for (as much as I hate to think of it..) ...tapeworm. I remember when my cat, who I think was about that age, would do the same thing. We later brought him to the vet and found he had a tapeworm, which basically gives them a zero appetite...not 100% sure, but I would get her checked out when you can.
  • I had a kitten this happenned to, and she had contracted whatever they call Parvovirus in cats. It's not common, but that was exactly how it started. Get her to a vet ASAP or you might regret it for the rest of your life.
  • You need to get in contact with a vet ASAP. The vet can possibly give medication that could help her get better. If you don't have her checked she could suffer and die and that would be a shame if you could have done something for her. Please don't wait. In the meantime just let her drink if she wants to or maybe put some water on your finger, maybe she will lick it off. She needs to at least get some fluids in her so she doesn't get dehydrated.
  • Please take your cat to the vet right away! It could be any number of things which may be curable, but maybe not without medicine. Any type of parasite (there are many different types of worms) could cause this. I had a kitten(actually still have, but he is better now and 2 1/2 years old) that was very sick and would not eat. He started having seizures due to low blood sugar (more common in kittens, because they don't have the reserve to go without food that adult cats have). It turned out that he had several types of worms and parvovirus. Against most predictions, he made it through, but it took lots of treatment and hard work getting him to eat. We had the best luck feeding him baby food. He liked beef and chicken the best. Now he eats anything that's not nailed down. Good luck.
  • My cat is 5 years old and is a very spoiled cat and i went back to work a month ago and am gone every day and she is alone and now she wont eat hardly at all or drink and is just moping around and sleeping and when she goes to jump up on something it is like her muscles are weak maybe from not eating and drinking much.this sounds like your cats symtoms. did you ever find out the problem and how long was she like it before you got her to the vet? thank you
