After 15+ years of being an office idiot, I never could have said yes - until my latest job. Working with disabled children is an amazing and rewarding experience. Every day is different and its helped me appreciate how we are all different, all have different needs, and we all rely on each other for different things - so often tacitly. Perhaps most importantly, its helped me realise how similar we all are once we take a step back and look at what an indistinguishable mad bunch of monkeys we must look like to any alien species visiting earth.
