  • Dont worry about it. she'll be 18 soon im sure. just laugh at her when she yells. like when shes really angry, start laughing, it will really piss her off and make her shut up. like when my mom yells at me, i laugh. and she stops yelling. so laugh at her!
  • For better or worse, she doesn't *need* a reason! None of us do for that matter. It's more rational, helpful etc if we do apply logic, but sometimes we just want to feel what we feel. Perhaps approaching your step daughter more from this angle may at least keep communication (of sorts!) open? It may not improve greatly, nut while the lines of communucation stay open - you've both got a chance with the advent of time to know and understand the other person and where they're coming from. Ps and talk to your husband too - not to 'take sides' but to understand better what you are going through.
  • Your husband has to tackle this. You're in a powerless position, as a step parent. My guess is she's hostile because you've married her father.
