It depends on who you ask. I'm an Atheist. I think he's an entity that was made to bring order to a chaotic time and pretty well succeeded. A fictional character. When I went to Church he was a bit more of a superstition.

Mis-perceived concept.

If you talk to God, you are a believer. If He talks back to you, you are insane. Seriously though, I would have to go with God being a concept, but the Christian portrayal of Him is more superstition. Most people have the concept of God, but not all people have the same perception. Many people believe in a divine figure other than God and many believe in a pantheon that, when combined, fills the same role as the singular male entity that many Christians believe in. Different takes on the same concept.
-
A concept conjured from superstition and used as a crutch for the delusional.
-
None of the above. God is God - the ultimate, original, and eternal reality.

Gods seem to be coping mechanisms. They are created by humans to help them feel less alone in the darkness behind their eyes. Gods are the voices of the super-ego that provides insight into interacting with other people and the world. Gods provide group associations that allow people with exclusionary units and a feeling of superiority. Gods are parent figures for adults that provide a reward/punishment scheme for life. Most important of all, gods are unprovable and therefore technically considered a delusion.

I believe that God is a man made concept, but don't make those the only three options, since you'll piss of Christians, and, if he is real, then you're screwed ^_^ XD
