I've never bought toys, Ive been to parties to buy them but dont. I tell my guy i dont need them hence i have him, but he's still open to using them. Tell your guy ok you wont take it, talk to your friend about it later. But when your done ask him if he's even open to toys, or something for yourself when he's not there. Sounds like it bruises his ego a lil but and thats the problem. He has no right to talk to your friend, about something she wanted to give you. No matter what it is.
