sounds like neither one of you are really trying to resolve the issue. she dropped the ball in your lap, you just let the ball drop, she got mad because you let the ball drop, and now your trying to get another ball to throw at her. I think that will take you right back to the beginning! Obviously neither was intersted in tackling the issue at that time, so you just stirred the pot instead.
