  • you could point out the expense she would save by cutting out a few of those mouths that expect to be fed.
  • She's obviously a cat lover. I wouldn't try to convince her of anything or she might cut the number down by losing you.
  • I have 5 kids...there is no cutting back when your in love!
  • who are you though
  • It's not a reasonable thing. My wife has two friends who "rescue" lost or homeless cats. I guess it's sort of a mothering thing. If she only has 5, count yourself lucky for the time being. Later she will probably have more.
  • I take it that you are not a cat lover? Unless your place is so small that you cannot walk without kicking one OR your finances are so tight that you can't afford to feed them all, there really isn't a way. Take this from a guy who shared a 600sq.ft. house with 5 cats themselves. Anybody who is wiling to take on that many cats is usually the type of person who really likes cats and gets attached to them. Now, if you had five children, how could we convince you to cut it down to a more reasonable number? See where I'm coming from?
  • Good luck..:)
  • Good freaking luck. I lived with cat's growing up. Spent only 2 years living by my self. Met the wife and now I got four, that was 16 yrs ago and they are still here. If you lover her, you just got to deal with it. And hope ones dies soon! NOW.......HOLD ON,HOLD ON I'm JK, I would never want any thing to happen to them. (I could all ready see the DR's comming)
  • You can't and you shouldn't. In the years to come these cats will die off and if she doesn't replace them with new cats - that's the answer for you.
  • The term "reasonable number" is a relative thing -- most cat lovers that I know have that many or even more. If she loves them, she won't be able to part with them. Better to learn to love them than to try to convince her to get rid of them.
  • dont think about it...otherwise she will cut you down :)
  • And the most popular answer is... ::drum roll:: You'd probably have more luck killing them when she isn't looking and selling them to a Chinese restaurant.
  • i don't know, but if you figure something out please let me know, my ol mum is animal crazy. at one time she had 6 dogs, 2 dozen hamsters, 2 rabbits, a 14" baby aligator, 9 aquariums of tropical fish and a garter snake. i'll trade you for 5 cats any day
  • being a cat lover myself i have 2 only, but lots of ferals live around here ,she aviously loves them as part of the family. Just make sure there spayed or you will have more than 5 .Also remember these cats are very close to her so treat them well if you want to keep her..
  • As far as she is concerned 5 is a reasonable number to her so she already has. More reasonable is your definition of less than she wants to have.
  • does six sound like a resonable number? or eight? be happy with five.
  • Search for the diseases that you can get from cats in the internet and show her the results.
  • when shes not looking, let some go & convince her that buying new cats would make her old lost cats feel like there being replaced . haha .
  • just say a couple "got lost" in the shed
