Dinner costs are not covered by the host.

just write dont forget your wallets or purses

I wouldn't do that. They will probably offer. If they don't, then man up and pay it. Then don't invite again.

BYOW. Bring your own wallet

I've tried to answer this so many ways and I can't word it right. I would call people and tell them you really want to get together but finances are tight. Would they like to join you and some friends for dinner with everyone going DUTCH? If this were my friends, they would understand and actually expect to pay! Or could you do a pot luck at home? If this is for a child's party, I don't know. Could you not buy loot bags so you could afford food?

' Dutch ' Dinner Invite......
-
you do not "invite" people to pay for their own dinner. if you are sending invitations you are offering to "host" a gathering; meaning you are paying for all food, drink and entertainment for guests. why bother with proper wording when you are behaving improperly yourself by asking your "guests" to pay for YOUR party? if you are organizing a gathering friends where each is paying their own way, you should just call each person letting them know that a group will be meeting, at a place and time, and let them decide whether they want to spend the their time and money there.

Call it a ticket. It's not an invitation.
