  • No.....
  • The law considers it lawful for her to take off her clothes for sex so taking off her clothes for voyers should hardly be a problem. It's not something I would like my child to do though.
  • Probably needs to be at least 18 years of age...otherwise asking for a lawsuit.
  • No...I don't think it should be legal for 16yr old to be strippers at all.
  • My mother didn't care about me when I was 16 as I'm sure you dont care for your daughter telling from this ridiculous question. 14 is a big age difference from 16 in development. The same goes for 16 to 18. Your child is your responsibility and if she is even interested in stripping then you have failed her as a parent and need to try to fix her life and your relationship from here on out. If a man cant legally have sex with a 16 year old child then why would the 'law' or you permit her to be in a sexually exploited position, where she will be offered money for things other than taking off her clothes. If my mother cared about me when I was younger my life would be completely different right now. I'm the mother of two and for that I'm proud but if my parents treated me like I was their world like I treat my kids I would be able to offer them allot more than what they have.
  • Nope!!! 16 is too young!
  • WHAT!..Seriously?!?..NOOOO!!
  • No... maybe 17 (in some states) not 16.
  • Nancy, Nancy, Nancy!!!
  • personally i think at 16, if you think you're old enough to handle putting yourself in such a dangerous position, go right ahead as long as you get your parent's consent. 16 is young, but they think they're adults, let them take care of themselves like one.
  • I think 16 years is too young for a girl to be making important career decisions which she might regret later.
  • Yes, I think people of any age should be able to strip if they so choose, and still be able to leave at whatever point they choose. But I'm in the minority. A pretty small one. Uhm, really, I think it's her right to choose, and if she wants to be a stripper, then go ahead. It's her life to create or destroy as she sees fit.
  • yeah, but I'd put it at around 10:30 pm, because that's when the weirdos and people looking for sex start to show up. But yeah, they're getting sexy and are building a foundation for independence by that age. My little sister-in-law did some peep shows and made more money in 3 freaking days than I do in a month.
  • I really don't believe you are serious. As an ex stripper let me assure you that a strip club is not a place you want someone you care about working. Ever. At any age. A 16 year old child should be being encouraged to go to college.
  • Hmm, I think it's too late for a 16yo to be awake, let alone stripping for the lustful, and bored eyes of the patrons of a strip club.
  • OMG... NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I don't even think an 18 year old should be allowed to stripe. +4
  • Big negative and i cannot believe you even asked a lame question like this. You are joking, right?
  • No. Of course not.
  • 2nd Answer. Is this her mother asking this question or the 16 year old?
  • The funny thing is I also heard this. That it is legal in some states to be a stripper at 16..there is some loophole that little perverted strip club owners can get away with! I was also stunned Nancy!!!
  • Yes, very limited, and no sex. And leave by 11 pm.
  • sure, why not, and let's get your grandmother to strip while we are at it.
  • No. If nothing else, enabling underage teens to strip is asking for a statutory rape case.
  • The odd thing is that it even if it is legal to see them in real life, that taking/posessing a picture of said stripping would be illegal.
  • No, I think they need to be a legal adult.
  • In public?
  • I live in Alabama and 16 is the legal age of sexual consent. As for striping being legal for a 16 year old? Umm I don't think so. I would not allow my daughters to do such a act.
  • Absolutely not.
  • I agree with the compromise that one poster suggested--the cutoff age should be 17. For one thing, a 17 year old is old enough to join the military and witness and experience things far more horrible than anything that is likely to happen in a strip club before 11:30pm. For another, in civilian life a 17 year old usually needs to make decisions about college (and hence careers) and thus is presumed old enough to make important long term decisions. But OTOH 16 just seems a tad too young. A 16 year old is usually still pretty firmly ensconced in high school--that just seems a bit young to be taking on an adult role like stripper. So I'd set the cutoff age at 17. But at the same time the law should be respected if it requires a higher cutoff age.
  • No, it shouldn't... *Silly Goose. I actually stripped at that age myself. With a fake ID. I was closer to 17 but same thing really when you are that young and stupid.
  • Its not legal for anyone under the age of 16 to even pump gas there but they allow for stripping and pole dancing for 16 yr olds. You can strip in front of strangers....but no last call for you minor....go on home and be like a normal young lady its 11:30...but make sure you are on time tommorow to strip again. The Law Makers better get a grip of their minds in that town!
  • I vote 18. That's the age of emancipation most everywhere.
  • Hell no, she needs to be an adult, I cant even believe this, what is wrong with these people?
  • I would say no, but our laws are somewhat conflicting. If someone took a picture of that 16 year old stripping it would legally be kiddie porn. Yet, the age of consent is 16 in many states, so it is perfectly legal to have sex. I think they really should make 18 the minimum age for stripping.
  • well, 16 is way young, i dont agree with it at all
  • personally i believe that if 16 is old enough to drive that means they are an adult, period this stupid 16 can you drive, 18 you can strip/ do adult movies, 21 you can smoke/drink stuff is just hypocritical nonsense like the tim wilson song says "You can go to war when you're 18 But you can't buy a beer You can load missiles on a submarine But you can't buy a pistol here You can breathe chemical weapon fumes But they don't want you to smoke so when you're shootin' up a bar in Baghdad, don't order a rum and coke You can have sex when you're 17 You just can't have a cigarette You ain't old enough for a slot machine Or to lay down a football bet But they'll take you to the clinic if you're 15 And your folks don't have to know Or you can take penicillin, just don't watch people Gettin' naked on video "
  • NO!!!! She'd be a minor! That's a felony!!
  • I was a stripper in the 80's and 90's. If I saw a 16 year old in there i would spank her and then tell her to go home. Men do not want to see a child take their clothes off and the ones that do, do it from their computer. I can not believe you are asking some stupid question like this. If you can find a club that allows an underage child to strip, I hope it burns down.
  • and i thought working at McDonald's was humiliating enough in high school ...
  • ....oops!
  • HELL NAWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • it is illegal in every state except Rhode Island. there a 16 year old can strip
  • NO. Doesn't matter what time you leave or go there. The answer is NO.
  • That would attract pedophiles plus it would be disturbing for a older person to step in there and watch a young girl that isn't 18 get naked and dance on a stage. I would not feel comfortable sitting there and tipping a 16 year old to strip in front of me afterwards i would feel dirty and like a pedophile myself. If you want to strip do it in private in your room and wait till your 18 if you want to pursue something like that you still got plenty of time to choose what you want to do and personally that could be someones little sister on that stage and to be the brother or even parents of that teenage girl would be so upsetting and furious at the same time.
  • Even if it was legal, that's not something I'd want to look at. Much less pay for.
