  • Um, mostly worse. I really get peeved when they treat each other poorly though. I want to slap them and tell them of how lucky they are to be together...
  • May be! Fortunately I haven't faced such situation yet and it's unlikely in the future!
  • Of course it does, but few people are truly "rubbing it in your face". They don't know your situation, and are just living on with their lives. You are TAKING it as such. Now, if an ex and their new s/o are always around you, always trying to make you feel bad by being kissy-kissy, huggy-huggy when you are around ON PURPOSE (ie: they're not doing anything, but if they see you, they start), THEN they are "rubbing it in your face". When you are heartbroken, all those love songs and unrequited love songs hurt like crazy. HOW could those people write and sing them? How could the radio play them? How could Lifetime put on all those movies? How could your favorite TV shows deal with love? Thing is, they always have, but now YOU are feeling them, not the writers, not the singers, not the actors... You now understand what being empathetic and compassionate means. THEY hurt, so YOU hurt. No... It doesn't make you feel better, at least until you get over your heartbreak. It really doesn't make it worse, but it makes it DEEPER (which many people feel is worse, I understand).
  • worse, way worse
