I'd have to say that most of the facts in descriptive books (that's books, as in plural or as in more than one) about the historical figures you mentioned are way more easily verified than those about Jesus' life. Almost one-hundred percent of the so-called facts about Jesus' life are culled from hand-me-down stories and few real historical documents are available to back up any positive claims. Such hand-me-down stories tend to lose their credibility after having been retold and reinterpreted and rewritten so frequently. As for Jesus, I have not too much doubt that he might have actually existed and I do not doubt that some of the claims made about his deeds might be, at least, partly true, but I DO dismiss the notion that he could have been the son of some all-knowing, all-seeing, all-encompassing deity.

Just ask yourself how many respected non-fiction historical writings mention Lincoln and MLK Jr. versus one ancient non-validated religious textbook. Get the diff?
