  • A controlled variuable is one you can control on an experiment. Say if Im boiling a pot of water - my controlled variable would be the temperature (from the heat dial on my stove top). THe experimental variable is the one you are measuring in the experiement - for my poy of boiling water it could be the amount of steam produced.
  • CONTROLLED= MEANS YOUR IN CHARGE=YOU CONTROL, BUT EXPERIMENTAL IS UNKNOWN = YOU TRY SOMETHING NEVER TRIED BEFORE. UNCONTROLLED= NEW.
