the point of life...hmmmmm, what you want it to be. If you want the point of life to be drugged up in the streets without a job or a family thats your point of life. As for my point of life is to grow up, get a degree, have a family, and do the best to make this very unfair world as fair as possible.

Everyone has a pupose. Whether they find it and use it for good or bad, is their decision. That's what makes up this world. Thought and purpose.

Whose life? I can't rightfully assign meaning to anyone's life but my own, hell, I can barely assign meaning to my *Own* life. Life is not a homogenous mass, it's an individual experience for each and every person, and each person's life has it's own individual meaning. I think that the meaning of "LIFE" in the larger sense, is to discover the meaning of *Your* life in the smaller sense. We live solely to find a reason why we should live.

A basic materialistic life doesn't have much point. If you have kids (and love them and treat them well, of course) or are in a loving marriage or other relationship (not just being in love, but loving in an uselfishway), that's a great start. My thoughts for how you can really fulfill your purpose are the following 3 points, which are all intertwined. To love much, unconditionally and radically, everybody. To serve others. To know your oneness with God, or all creation, or to realize your Buddha nature, whichever you like.

To do what you can to make this world a better place. to learn what you can learn. to help those who need your help to teach those that need taught, ( and in the meanwhile; to live your life, raise a family, teach them the best you can, and hope they will do the same) then become "fertilizer" Life is a gift...you MUST remember to enjoy it along the way.

According to my 21-year old daughter, the point of life is to overcome suffering. I don't agree, however. Everybody's life has different meaning and I think people spend too much time trying to figure out their "purpose." It depends on the individual. Some people are happy to "go with the flow" while others are constantly overachieving. Myself, I just like to relax most of the time and not worry about what meaning there is in my life. What if it turned out there was no meaning?
