  • I'm not sure I'd call it brain "damage" so much Charlie. I have struggled with impatience all my life. I'm better than I was but not as good as I'd like to be. I don't get angry..I do get annoyed though. I appreciate it so much when people are patient with me and I would like to be that person for others. But it is a constant struggle. :) ((hugs))
  • Yes I do. Since my brain has been damaged since childhood, I've had a long time to learn to deal. The anger part all depends on what type of damage you have though. Mine is traumatic, frontal lobe. If the damage is due to something such as huffing, I don't know an answer (ex hubby had that...he's still a rager.) However, the way I deal with my own is to 1st off own my own beasties. I know their habits and what can start to set them off. I try to avoid these things. If I can't I write, or I sing, or I do a "brain teaser task" ie. Suduko or crossword. Something that lets you zone in. I don't struggle with it as much anymore. When I start getting angry now, my blood pressure screws up and I feel like crap. Singing helps, writing helps, reading helps, sometimes going out in the pasture and hollering helps. Know your beasties. Hope this helped.
  • My oldest son is a T.B.I. Surviver from a car wreck a year ago. Anger is not an issue yet,but i think we will be talking soon,Mark
