i think there is a build of static somewhere. maybe its pretty old now and needs to be changed. +3

Lightning struck near my house last night causing my accidentally plugged in laptop to spark at the place where it was plugged in. the laptop works but refuses to charge. Is this an internal problem or a problem with the power cord?
