  • I think people are more like to believe something without evidence and without much conviction. But when they believe in something, they're puting extreme faith and thought into that belief.
  • To believe in something implies that you believe he/she/it exists, whereas to believe something means that you believe what he/she/it says. For example, Leviticus 20:13 says: "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable..." If I believed that, but was not a Christian, then I would believe God, but I would not believe IN god. (as I don't think he exists, but what the bible says is right). I just want to make it clear, that that is not my opinion at all, I have no problem with homosexuality. I was only using it as an example.
