My mother had Phlox with her rocks. And Scotch on her rocks.

All sorts of flowers, ground covers that spread and creep over the rocks. A small water feature is nice or a fake or dry creekbed.

Hens and chicks. Not the fowl...it's a plant. :) They thrive in that type of garden.

Sand. You can put designs on it, looks very elegant really! :) Flowers would probably look great too along with some small water features.

You can put water components, exciting pieces of wood or even old wagon wheels if you would want.

In one of mine I have an anchor, shells,an old brass lantern, and a ball of glass from a glass recyling plant. Dark green.

I have a large sculptural pot with texas sage in my rock garden. Succulents of any kind and also cactus are great choices. +!!!

you can put small statue of human or anything innovative that look something different made of rock you can use in it.

I put colored bottles, glass fishing floats and various pieces of wood I find.
