  • Inexpensive and Europe dont quite mix well together :)
  • you could live in a subburb of paris and work in the shops there and commute to paris for the weekends. you would be a celebrity in a small town. you could do that in any country.
  • In the old days, fruit picking was the way to go - but it is very hard work! At least, in most cases, you get accommodation, and lots of sunshine - work out the crops, (strawberries in June/July, grapes in August) and find where the work is. it is not well paid, but you are only trying to earn enough to keep you there, not enough to keep a family.
  • Most of Europe is realatively expensive now. Even the likes of Prague and Tallin have hiked their prices up now. If I wanted cheap travel around the med, I'd be looking across the water at North Africa. Morrocco, Tunisia, Egypt. If you do decide on Europe, I'd stay away from the scandinavian countries. They're all well expensive.
  • Balkans are relativelly inexpensive. If you are of adveturous nature go for ALbania (you can see greece and croatia in the same trip too... or italy - if you enter or leave through sarande) it's cheap, unique as it has not been touched by globalization as much as other european countries, the coast is breathtakingly beautiful...
  • you can get a hotel room for less if you reserve it in advance.Request the hotel's weekly rates if your staying longer.Renting a house or a bed and breakfast maybe less than a hotel.You could rent an apartment with a roommate if your staying longer.A temp agency can get you a job fast and it's free.
