Why does it seem okay to me to date someone seven years older than me, but when I think about dating a younger guy (Even a year younger) it sounds wrong? Is there a difference between the guy being older and the girl being older?

It's conditioning. Our culture considers older-male relationships more "normal" than older-female. Not much more to say about that, except that we're all programmed by such things on thousands of topics. There's very little "thinking for ourselves" going on, in most situations.

There may be some small physical advantage as pregnancy is hard on older women while older men can impregnate women with reasonable ease. . My understanding is that chromosomes break down at about the same rate in males and females so there doesn't seem to be much advantage for old/young relationships there. . It all comes down to cultural conditioning as per HB. . Plus you're not a cougar.
