  • you should tell them the truth if they dont agree with your decisions then its their problem its your life i know all they want is hte best for you but sometimes they just have to let you make the mistakes so you can learn from them your self
  • Depends what the truth is ;)
  • Depends,do you live with them? I think if you live with them, you need to bite your tongue and maybe refrain from saying certain things or you may be out. If you do not live with them, then yes be honest, live your life the way you want, it is yours, they will have to deal with it.
  • If they are going to hassle you, then just bite your tongue and don't say anything. My parents are the same, and I find that telling them the truth just makes them angry, and they take it out on me.
  • The truth is always the best, although, silence isn't lying. ;)
  • That's a tough one and it depends on how telling them affects you personally. For people who are homosexual for example, the truth has to be accepted. S/O's need to be part of the family. So you push until they get used to it. But if you're the creative type and your parents want you to be an engineer, then you can simply dodge the subject when it comes up. It's no fun and this usually means less contact with the parents, but if they're acting that way it was probably going to happen anyway. So there you go. Hope this helps.
  • You have two options: 1- keeping the truth for yourself. In which case you will be the one making the mistake, hiding and lying about things. And you will miss your chance of making your parents trust you. 2- keep telling the truth. In which case you will never regret. They, on the other hand, may realize too late that they didn't listen you when it was time to.
