  • What do. I think about this? I think that it is a waste of money. The amount of CO2 that we put into the air is miniscule compared to that which is derived from wholly natural sources. Additionally, CO2 levels are not the driving influence behind climate change. Earth's climate has been undergoing cyclic changes since long before we came on the sceen and it will continue to do so long after we are gone. The whole notion that we are causing these changes is just an excuse to force us to accept more government control over our lives.
  • The good news is there are massive coal deposits in the USA, enough to provide us energy for centuries to come. The bad news is that extracting the energy stored in coal is an environmentally damaging process every step of the way, from strip mining to transportation and finally burring it. As of today, there is no such thing as clean coal.
