  • I think it's the last one, but I don't know for sure. +3
  • Thats a really good question! I wish I knew the answer. I would tell you if I could.
  • gosh I'm not sure I'm following your question. however if I have read your question correctly, I think the time line under the question relates to the post. meaning if the late post was the question, then the question was asks 33 seconds, or if the last post was an answer then the 33 seconds would mean the answer. I hope this helps.
  • 1) By the display "The last question was answered in just 4 minutes" (for instance), the words "last question" are linked with that last question. The displayed time is rarely over 4 minutes. But because of some bug, the last answer is sometimes not displayed... As you may know, a new question gets always the next number as question ID. I noticed that the ID number of the "last question" is also steadily growing, and it is the ID number of one of the last questions asked (but of course, of one having been answered). 2) Here is how I think that it works (it is just my guess): Let's call the question that you get when you click on that "last question" link the "last displayed question". When a question with a higher ID than that question gets answered, it becomes the "last displayed question". 3) If I am right, how could a high value for the time be reached? Let's say that there are about 4 questions per minute. After the "last displayed question" has been answered, we stay 10 minutes without having any of the 40 following questions being answered. Then the question which has been asked just after the "last displayed question" gets answered. Then we would get the display: "The last question was answered in just 10 minutes" This situation is highly improbable. Probably a later, easier question would rather get answered than a question that would need 10 minutes to be answered.
