About Greece,it wasn't slavery,EXACTLY.It was indentured sevetude.If someone couldn't pay off a debt,he or she was forced to labor until the debt collecter was satisfied that the debt was paid off,or a family member of the debter was taken to pay with labor if the debter died,or was PHYISICALLY unable to preform certain tasks.This was the day of the 'Bartering System'.I hope that I've helped somewhat!+4,great question!*
