  • hmmm this is a tricky situation. I think the best way to do this is to say to her that because of all the lice around your house that your worried it could have spread to yourself, but say your scared to do it by yourself, then she may offer to get checked with you, but if not, ask her if she would mind doing it with her, because your embarrased to get checked alone. this way, the task is completed, but you havnt made it seem like you were saying she had lice. how about that?
  • Were they egg-flied lice
  • ... reverse it ... tell her that you have discovered lice in your home, had all occupants treated, but since she had been there recently, she also needs to be checked & treated ... tell her "everyone else" who had been over recently will have to be checked & treated also and that they will ALL need to inform you of the check up results before they may come over again, her included ...
  • i would tell your sister-in-law the truth ~ that there was lice found in your home and your children have it. then ask her to please get herself checked just in case it spread to her. you might also add that youd like to keep the home under quarantine for a bit, and anyone who visits who has been in contact with your children will need to be checked prior to coming to the home in order to avoid reinfestation. that would save her embarassment, plus there is always a possibility the children got the lice elsewhere.
