  • It depends how you look at it. I mean, 100 years ago 13 year olds were getting married and having kids. Now people are up in arms because teenagers have sex. I think the whole thing goes in cycles. Some generations there are kids that 'mature' really fast, and in others children remain children for longer. And it depends how you look at it. Different people would define maturity in different ways.
  • Children have a long learning process to achieve if they want a good job so they must learn much more than their parents did ,but with different priorities so it may look like they are more mature but they still make the classic mistakes of all youth. Relationships ,money management, trouble management etc
  • No. They just think they are. Like we used to think we were, and we weren't.
  • Yep! I blame the internet! Lol..... :-)
  • I'm not sure what you would consider "kids", but I'm 21 and think that people younger than me are not necessarily maturing faster. I feel like they are dressing older than their age, but still are - as prairiewind so eloquently put it - making the same mistakes.
  • Nope, maturity is an enviromental condition, in dangerous times and tensions children mature faster, do in responce to that danger with the breeding instinct. life expectancy 35 to 45 years 12 13 and 14 year olds having kids it not a good because even though certain part of them are mature the rest is not and that has a cycle all it's own and it's very destructive, you want to stop it create stable enviroments not checker board "Safe House's" in dangerous neighborhoods create stable safe enviroments acroos the board in all places for your kids, yourself and the elderly - gee that was hard ... ~Nemo~
  • I don't know about mature but they sure think they rule the world more than when I was that age.
