What does the Rank: >1000 mean in your profile and activity, under your level meter, next to your points on the right? How is it changed...added to or however it is made "better"?

It means that currently you don't have enough points to make the top 1000 users on Answerbag. Hence your rank is greater (or lesser, however you want to view it) than 1000. The person with the most points on Answerbag is at rank 1, and so on. This ranking is updated every week, on a Sunday, so in actual fact you may at some point have more points than someone else at a higher ranking than you, but this will not be reflected in your position until the Leaderboard is updated. To earn points, you need to be awarded them by other users rating up your answers and questions, or by moderating answers and questions that you think are duplicates, offensive and so on. I see currently on your profile that you have 460 points, so it is almost certain that when the Leaderboard is updated tomorrow your ranking will improve dramatically.

Rank: Greater than 1000 - it means you're not even in the top 1000 as far as your number of points, so it doesn't bother giving you the exact number.

i think it just means that your rank is higher than 1000. they don't post your actual rank until you're under 1000
