• That's the point of all the arguing for centuries..no real proof. I said REAL.
• Every time I open my eyes when I wake ... I see his gift of life ... It's all I need ... to say thanks ...
• Well there really isn't solid proof. I am a skeptical person and was raised in a semi-religious household, but I find it difficult to just fall head over heels into the belief that there is a higher being when DINOSAURS are missing from the Bible. And we have solid proof of dinos. True, humans came after them according to history but the Bible begins at the start of the entire Earth! Although sometimes when everything is out of your control it helps to think that at least SOMEONE has control over it.
• The whole concept of a God is that we cannot prove or disprove their existence. If such a proof (either way) had been obtained then the world would seem a lot clearer to many people. In my opinion, such ideas are beyond the understanding of human-beings and I think mankind will never know for sure.
• I have no proof either way, until I do the concept of God is irrelevant to me.
• I cannot prove God exists. But, I also cannot prove he doesn't. No one can. You either believe in God or you don't. That is what faith is. I can give you testimony about my life and experiences that have shaped my thinking about his existence and you can either believe them or not. I can show you the love that God has given me by giving it to you and you can accept it or not. I can invite you to my church to see for yourself what I do to worship and praise God and you can either go or not. I can introduce you to the Pastor and my friends and you can listen to their testimonies about how God changed their lives and it will move you or not. If it proof you want I can't give it to you. Only you can decide about God. But, blessed are those who have believed and haven't seen.
• If you were to consider the complexity of even the simplest living organism, there are at least twenty amino acids required in exact proportions, a cellular membrane to protect it and keep it free of contaminants. It also requires an energy supply, waste disposal mechanisms, mobility, and the ability to reproduce itself exactly, since even a minor variation in its design would cause the offspring to have dysfunctional or missing systems required for life. This requires a language system and communication system of encoding and decoding the language in a far more compact and complex way than the most advanced human language or technology. To exactly replicate these patterns of cellular structures in our language would take millions upon millions of words, it takes extremely advanced computers to decode even the simplest DNA sequence, and there is no way of encoding it, or designing a new creature with knowledge of what effect changes to the chromosomes will have. Humans can not yet comprehend the codes, even with the most advanced computers in the world we can not decipher this language, yet it is a very predictable and nonvolatile language. It is capable of duplicating itself billions of times without error. Given our intelligence, and the technological resources at our disposal, it would be reasonable to assume that something so complex as to design and implement such a language, and design such a compact and stable way of storing the information, must be intelligent, no? So is it reasonable that such a complex system came about by chance? By fluke? It would be more believable for a car to spontaneously form from a pile of rocks. Yet, noone who sees a car or truck ever assumes it just came about by chance, they realize something so complex and functional must have been designed, and created, by some intelligent being. Archeologists examine a stone, a piece of flint with jagged chipped edges, or another with smooth rounded edges, and deduce that some ancient intelligent being had to have constructed this rock, because something so symmetrical, something so functional, could not have been created by chance. Are the planets and stars any less symmetrical? Is their orbit not functional? Are living creatures less complex than a hammer? The probability of the amino acids I mentioned before being drawn at random in the correct order is 1:100000000000000000000000000000000. The chance of a stone being shaped like a hammer stone? If you take a look in a river bed, probably about 1/1000. The stone is assuredly a man made object according to experts, but a living creature is a fluke? With not one living cells, which is so unlikely to be produced, but millions upon millions of them? That statistic does not even take into account the requirement of food procurement, waste disposal, cellular membrane integrity, mobility, ability to reproduce, or the mortality rate due to environmental conditions. How much more unlikely it is nobody can even understand, most people just can't understand numbers that big. They talk about one in a million, well statistically speaking, one in a million is an assured expectation. If someone told me I had a one in a million chance of winning the lottery, I would undoubtedly buy a lottery ticket. So would 400 million other people. Odds are, 400 of them would pick the right numbers too, and split the winnings. Better not get too far off topic here...so the most complex and compact thing in the entire universe, DNA, was designed by a virus, a bacteria or fungi? A single celled organism, not after billions of years of evolution, but the very first one, after just a few minutes, outsmarted the most intelligent men in the world? How does that make sense? I think it is more reasonable that something so unlikey to occur by chance did not occur by chance or fluke. But it did happen, our presence is evidence that life exists despite this impossiblity. That is just the matter of lifes reproductive cycle. What about all of the natural laws? If gravity were slightly different, life would be impossible. If the weak nuclear force were slightly different, life would be impossible. If the strong nuclear force were slightly differnt life would be impossible. If thermodynamics were different, chemical processes, the charge of elementary particles, electromagentics and field characteristics, if any of these were not absolutely without variation, all life would be impossible. If water did like every other known material in the universe and shrinks as it is cooled, the entire earth would be a frozen ball of ice. Colder water would sink and freeze on the bottom of the oceans and lakes, there in impenetrable darkness it would remain forever frozen, cooling the water above. Was it by some fluke that the chemical necessary for life is also unique in the universe, was it by fluke that it expands very near the freezing temperature, so it rises to the surface wher=e it can be warmed? This ensures our temperature is regulated at a level where life can be sustained. Without the moon to create water flows the oceans would stagnate and become cess pools of toxic ammonia, killing all life in the oceans. Was this a fluke too? If the Earths rotation were slower we would overheat on one side and freeze on the dark side, was this fluke? So how can something occur, which is impossible to occur solely by chance, without direction and design? How can so many variables, more than any human could list, be in such perfect harmony? The answer is one many people just don't like, but I would hesitate to say most, because polls show that more than 85% of people have looked at the wonders of creation, examined the evidence, and concluded; It was designed. It was created. --------------------------------- "Scary mistakes in reprodcution" are the result of damage to the DNA, it is evidence that mutations do not lead to new or better creations or forms of life, but it is a destructive process. Damage to the blueprint for life, our DNA, is caused by environmetal factors, drug or alcohol use, radiation and poisons. If the DNA is damaged and then the carrier reproduces, the defective gene sequence is passed on to the offspring, and consequently to all future generations from that line. Thus the gene pool of mankind is slowly becoming more and more damaged with each generation, despite its remarkable ability to resist change and repair damage. This is because the entire world has been changed by mans behaviour, it is no longer the same as when it was created, no longer the paradise, and it allows damage to that structure, and inheritance of that error.
• I've seen God's drivers license, he exists.
• Jesus. He said: He who has seen me has seen the Father. Historically, we know he existed, and documents (even from opposing sides) attest to his miracle working. If I accept Jesus, then I know that God exists.
• well when i was 14 i was in a car accident. They told us that they dont know how we survived. The car was so smashed that they dont know how we got out of the car and up to the road. I myself felt someone push me out of the car and up the hill and tell me that it will be ok...no body else seen nor heard anything. We all were able to walk to a nearby house, But noone knows how it happened... Also my mother was in a car wreck before i was born. The car was actually on top of a gate, they dont know how anyone survived that, and my mom came out with not even a scratch... ALSO my father was stabbed in the neck before i was born. his head was cut 2/3 of the way off, he was pronounced dead, but somehow they brought him back, He said that while he was pronounced dead that he was in a tunnel and felt no pain. He was the most content he has ever been. ALSO When my brother was born he was born with spinal meningitis, they told my mom he only had about 6 weeks to live...hes 37 years old now. With this and everything else i have experienced i KNOW that there is a god or at least something out there that is helping my family...its not just dumb luck
• We don't have proof. We have faith.
• There is no proof, literally, of any specific god. Deal with it.
• "Someone stated that there is no scientific proof for the existence of God. I stated once that you take it on faith and that’s that. I’v given it some more thought (I do enjoy philosophy and logic, even though it’s been claimed that I know nothing about either) and come up with the following. There are some presumptions taken into this (as with any philosophy) it is impossible to prove God exist scientifically. By the same token, it is impossible to prove he doesn’t exist scientifically. The reason being, God exist outside our realm of existence. We humans exist in 4 dimensional space. The 4th dimension being time. God, as described in the Bible, is omniscient and all powerful. He exists in the past, present and future and all 3 dimensions, simultaneously. The physical laws that we live under do not apply to God. By creation of the universe, he caused (directly or indirectly) the laws of the universe to exist. I know this analogy has probably been used befor but I’ll use it anyway. Picture a 2 dimensional universe. Could beings in this universe prove a 3rd dimension? I don’t believe that science and religion are and have to be entirely separate. Einstein himself said “science without religion is lame: religion without science is blind.” Occam's Razor states that one should make no more assumptions than needed. Put into everyday language, it says Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate [Latin] or given two equally predictive theories, choose the simpler. Who has the simplest theory? An atheistic scientist that claims in order for the universe to exist, there was this huge chain of unlikely events that leads up to us? Or, intelligent design? Perhaps both are partially correct. There was a big bang however it wasn’t a random event, there was intelligence behind it."
• He saved my soul from my awful sins and their end result: the lake of fire. He came into my heart and set me free from the chains of sin. Jesus Christ exists to me...to me, He is very real. 1 John 5:10 says: "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son." We that truly know God as our Saviour have nothing to "prove", He's already proved Himself to us by coming into our hearts and lives and saving us by His grace from our sins. By my faith I believe I have been given proof: my salvation which is by grace through faith. I hope that this helps. Thank you and God bless you!
• *This Answer is continued from Xanderman's previous answer -comments* OK Xanderman, hate to do it to you, but carbon bonds, the building blocks of the 20 amino acids, aren't any less stable than other bonds. Carbon with it 4 outer valance electrons allows for so many varying combos that you really can't classify "all" of those bonds as weak or strong. Also, Hydrogen bonds ( frequently found in amino acids) may be unstable on their own but long chains of hydrogen are extremely strong. I'm not going to go into a whole chemistry thing, b/c I don't think it really matters here. The reason it really doesn't matter is because with elements combining, breaking apart, and combining with different elements, the odds of basic amino acids forming over billions of years is not hard to fathom as long as the conditions are adequate (which they obviously were, since we're here), and once life begins it tends to want to stick around. Also in response to recreating life in a laboratory: Well, it may take a billion years for it to occur. It may have taken that long for life to occur on earth. ( the planet is several billion yrs old). Scientist may need a little more time before we can give up on that theory. Also, if you think about it reasonably, that's a lot to ask from a couple hundred years of scientists who until the past 50 years or so have been working with very little resources. There is quite a bit we don't understand, but that in itself does not automatically default to a God created it.
• it's funny.. theres the super logical and the super faithful, and im in the center.. it's funny watching people argue.. or.. not "argue" but attack each other like this.. God or No God, Existence is beautiful. Science that refutes it.. the miracles that opposes it.. I don't believe in Miracles, I believe in Science.. I don't believe in perfect conditions for spontaneous living, nor creation theories where the great and all knowing decided just.. One day he wanted a world that would thrive.. However.. Consider your existence.. not "why your here".. but.. your "Awareness" of it.. How.. you will step away from this computer and still think about this question.. This "living".. feels like a dream sometimes, and it's this.. "aware" feeling, you believe there is more. More what? no body knows, Your Existence, and your ability to close your eyes. then ask yourself.. How far can i Go in this world? I don't believe in the many paths of to heaven, But this.. moment of existing thing.. is worth something to me.. Something more and i hope my thoughts will never die out, I do love thinkig. Your ability to think is proof for Something to exist. whatever it is. Science -> Philosophy <- Faith
• I have no scientific proof..I don't need any. And science cannot disprove it to me either. I simply believe that God exists.
• This isn't a valid question and there isn't a full answer either way because nobody alive knows what the truth is. The question that we should be asking is why can't those, who are convinced that there is a god or some such entity, just be happy with their conviction, live their lives in their own way (peacefully of course) and just leave those who aren't convinced well alone?
• God does exist. proof? The mere fact that I'm here alive is already enough.
• If we had proof either way, the debate would not continue. Personally, I have no proof that deity exists beyond personal experience, which is not proof to anyone but myself.
• Damnit. Not an answer, wrong button. sry
• answered prayers If you need any help let me know visitorguest@yahoo.com
• ' Thats why it is called FAITH" there IS no proof of any religion..Its a FAITH... I have FAITH that A God(s) exists.
• There is no proof only a high probability that God does not exist.

• Alright, so there was a fun little intelligent design debate going on up there. I'm surprised the more obvious/better argument for the Big Man hasn't come up--the one I feel has never been addressed appropriately enough by any atheists. The one of the unmoved mover (espoused by Aristotle and Einstein). In a very simple manner (that's probably less correct): Everything exists because something caused it's existence. Nothing naturally (as in, our laws of nature) exists spontaneously. So, where did the universe come from? The popular atheist response is "Well, where did God come from?" But, that's why the logic goes "nothing naturally exists", naturally being the key word. God is obviously held to be super-natural, that's the whole point really. So our rules don't matter. Even Mr. Dawkin's response to this was very lacking. All he said was "Well, isn't that too easy [for the theists]". I mean, I understand how it seems sort of like a de facto "I win". But...maybe that's because that's what it is.
• Time is not a line, it is a circle. The Universe creates itself. Gravity begets singularity, singularity begets energy, energy begets matter, matter begets gravity. The Universe unfolds perfectly, exactly as the laws under which it operates dictate. Everything is perfect - we have only convinced ourselves that everything isn't naturally perfect. God doesn't exist, because Creation doesn't.
• A number of people have seen God and written about it. Steven and the Apostle Paul in the New Testament, among others. The complexly simple nature of the Earth and of the human body are two witnesses of a higher power than evolution or natural selection. (I'm not saying God doesn't make use of evolution as a tool. He very well may, but not exclusively.) Also, the diversity of life itself. It is one thing for man to evolve over thousands or millions of years, but every complex, living thing? In our personal lives, he would take a greater hand if we asked him, but respects the agency he has given us. Choice is one of God's greatest gifts to man. According to my faith, the most common (but still extraordinary) way that God manifests himself to those with faith is through the power of the Holy Ghost, which is tangible, like the warmth of the Sun. It is like you are glowing from the inside out. I have felt this feeling on multiple occasions, often accompanied by some insight, whether needed wisdom or else feeling known and loved by God. You feel whole and at peace, if but for a moment. The Bible says the fruits of the spirit include love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith. (Galatians 5:22) http://scriptures.lds.org/en/gal/5/22#22 If you feel these things, and the absense of opposing feelings like fear, self doubt or confusion, that may be the Holy Spirit. According to Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), an uncommon clarity of mind may also be a witness from the Holy Spirit. You can read his account of seeing God and hearing his voice here: http://scriptures.lds.org/en/js_h/1 If you lack in experiences with God, the thing to do is follow this counsel from one of my favorite scriptures: "Draw near unto me, and I will draw near unto you, saith the Lord." That is faith--making the first move. http://scriptures.lds.org/en/dc/88/63#63
• I have many ways that prove to me God exists b/c of what Hes done in my life, but I believe to best way for you to get your proof is to experience. Did you know that there are invisible waves that are transmitted in a television but the only way for these waves to make a tv work there needs to be a reciever. So I challange you to put down your guard aganist God and give Him a chance. You just have to be willing to recieve Him. He wont force Himself into your life because he has given you a free will. Just say here I am God. Try it.
• when ever i pray i get the currage to do things thats my proof
• The proof of the pudding is in the eating! Any proof offered is peculiar to the presenter. Your own proof is just that - your own proof. Their proof may not be sufficient to convince you, for any proof to be convincing you must own it, only then is it authentic. Ask someone who lives a 'flourishing life' as socrates would call it or any who practise being still and going within - they will tell you of an incredible and indescribable being/place filled with such joy, peace and love. But they will barely be able to begin to describe the experience because there is simply nothing to compare it to. I can never hope to convince you of anything, simply because my proof is my proof. 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating.'
• Here is a link to Mr Spock (Star Trek)proof of God: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/330667/spock_proves_the_existence_of_god.html?cat=60
• no, some people tried to prove it but always shot themselves in the foot with poor logic. The pure definition of god makes him unproveable. But in science, the task of proving something is enterely on the people who believe in the hypothesis. Everyone can say "the flying spaghetti monster created the world and the universe" and then ask people to disprove it. But if you want to be taken seriously, you got to prove it.
• who else could have parted the red sea??
• There is no "proof". That's why they call it faith.
• That is easy. God doesnt exist. God is not the creator's name. There is a creator of this universe. It isnt God. God is just a symbolic word for a name no one knows. Or has the desire to find out. The word god is nothing. with a capital G or not. Its fake.
• Three books I could recommend which are secular in origin which address this are - 1. The Divine matrix, by Gregg Braden 2. The Field, by Lynn McTaggert 3. The Intention Experiment, by Lynn McTaggert Each of these deals with Quantum Physics, and each goes into experiments and evidence which indicates an intelligent force at work in the universe, which some refer to as God.
• Proof is subjective to me. For example if you look out your window and your car's gone, you could say it's been stolen. The proof you'd say is it's not there. But in fact your husband/wife/SO could have taken it out without telling you. The car not being there is enough proof it's been stolen to someone unaware it's been borrowed. Proof of God's existence....for many our creation/existence, (along with the universe) is proof enough, for many others it's merely proof evolution is at work. I lean towards the God theory, it gives my life more significance.
• No. But, neither is there conclusive proof for the absence og God either.
• i havent heard of any proof yet, but noone can proove that God doesn't exist. Like anything else, its impossible to proove something doesnt exist, its easier to proove it exists
• One of my favourite quotes on the subject: . There's no reason, in theory, why god's presence couldn't be measured or detected in some way. The only reason that believers claim that god "can't" be detected in this way is because god *isn't* detected, and so a vast and intricate rationale has to be devised to explain this vast, loving, eternal, all-powerful "something" which is, in every external, objective respect, indistinguishable from nothing
• Qur'an and Modern Science -------- Many atheists demand a scientific proof for the existence of God. I agree that today is the age of science and technology. Let us use scientific knowledge to kill two birds with one stone, i.e. to prove the existence of God and simultaneously prove that the Qur’an is a revelation of God. If a new object or a machine, which no one in the world has ever seen or heard of before, is shown to an atheist or any person and then a question is asked, " Who is the first person who will be able to provide details of the mechanism of this unknown object? After little bit of thinking, he will reply, ‘the creator of that object.’ Some may say ‘the producer’ while others may say ‘the manufacturer.’ What ever answer the person gives, keep it in your mind, the answer will always be either the creator, the producer, the manufacturer or some what of the same meaning, i.e. the person who has made it or created it. Don’t grapple with words, whatever answer he gives, the meaning will be same, therefore accept it. Scientific Facts Mentioned in the Qur'an ----------- There are countless hardcore scientific facts mentioned in the Quran 1400 years ago which science has discovered recently. Some of the scientific discoveries mentioned in the Quran are as follows: ------- 1: Big Bang 2: Initial Gaseous Matter 3: Expanding Universe 4: Spherical Shape of the Earth 5: Moon’s Refected light, 6: The Sun Rotates, 7: The Sun Will Extinguish, 8: Intersteller Matter, 9: The Spliting of Atom, 11: Water Cycle, 12: WINDS IMPREGNATE THE CLOUDS, 13: Mountains are like pegs (stakes), 14: Barrier between sweet and salt waters, 15:Darkness in the Depth of the ocean, 16: Living things made of water, 17: Plants having male and female, 18: Animals and birds live in communities, 19: The flight of birds, 20: The Bee, 21: life style of ants, 22: Honey a healing, 23: Embroyology, 24: Sex Determination, 25: Fingerprints, 26: Pain Receptors, 27: The existence of Aliens. And etc.. Qur'an is a Book of Signs and not Science http://api.fmanager.net/api_v1/xmlapi.php?dev-t=EDCRFV&with=mod=file,id=28155 http://www.irf.net/irf/download/index.htm http://www.miraclesofthequran.com/ --------- Theory of Probability In mathematics there is a theory known as ‘Theory of Probability’. If you have two options, out of which one is right, and one is wrong, the chances that you will chose the right one is half, i.e. one out of the two will be correct. You have 50% chances of being correct. Similarly if you toss a coin the chances that your guess will be correct is 50% (1 out of 2) i.e. 1/2. If you toss a coin the second time, the chances that you will be correct in the second toss is again 50% i.e. half. But the chances that you will be correct in both the tosses is half multiplied by half (1/2 x 1/2) which is equal to 1/4 i.e. 50% of 50% which is equal to 25%. If you toss a coin the third time, chances that you will be correct all three times is (1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2) that is 1/8 or 50% of 50% of 50% that is 12½%. A dice has got six sides. If you throw a dice and guess any number between 1 to 6, the chances that your guess will be correct is 1/6.. If you throw the dice the second time, the chances that your guess will be correct in both the throws is (1/6 x 1/6) which is equal to 1/36. If you throw the dice the third time, the chances that all your three guesses are correct is (1/6 x 1/6 x 1/6) is equal to 1/216 that is less than 0.5 %. Let us apply this theory of probability to the Qur’an, and assume that a person has guessed all the information that is mentioned in the Qur’an which was unknown at that time. Let us discuss the probability of all the guesses being simultaneously correct. At the time when the Qur’an was revealed, people thought the world was flat, there are several other options for the shape of the earth. It could be triangular, it could be quadrangular, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, octagonal, spherical, etc. Lets assume there are about 30 different options for the shape of the earth. The Qur’an rightly says it is spherical, if it was a guess the chances of the guess being correct is 1/30. The light of the moon can be its own light or a reflected light. The Qur’an rightly says it is a reflected light. If it is a guess, the chances that it will be correct is 1/2 and the probability that both the guesses i.e the earth is spherical and the light of the moon is reflected light is 1/30 x 1/2 = 1/60. Further, the Qur’an also mentions every living thing is made of water. Every living thing can be made up of either wood, stone, copper, aluminum, steel, silver, gold, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil, water, cement, concrete, etc.. The options are say about 10,000. The Qur’an rightly says that everything is made up of water. If it is a guess, the chances that it will be correct is 1/10,000 and the probability of all the three guesses i.e. the earth is spherical, light of moon is reflected light and everything is created from water being correct is 1/30 x 1/2 x 1/10,000 = 1/60,000 which is equal to about .0017%. The Qur’an speaks about hundreds of things that were not known to men at the time of its revelation. Only in three options the result is .0017%. I leave it upto you, to work out the probability if all the hundreds of the unknown facts were guesses, the chances of all of them being correct guesses simultaneously and there being not a single wrong guess. It is beyond human capacity to make all correct guesses without a single mistake, which itself is sufficient to prove to a logical person that the origin of the Qur’an is Divine. -------- Creator is the Author of the Qur'an The only logical answer to the question as to who could have mentioned all these scientific facts 1400 years ago before they were discovered, is exactly the same answer initially given by the atheist or any person, to the question who will be the first person who will be able to tell the mechanism of the unknown object. It is the ‘CREATOR’, the producer, the Manufacturer of the whole universe and its contents. In the English language He is ‘God’, or more appropriate in the Arabic language, ‘ALLAH’. Qur'an is a Book of Signs and not Science Let me remind you that the Qur’an is not a book of Science, ‘S-C-I-E-N-C-E’ but a book of Signs ‘S-I-G-N-S’ i.e. a book of ayaats. The Qur’an contains more than 6,000 ayaats, i.e. ‘signs’, out of which more than a thousand speak about Science. I am not trying to prove that the Qur’an is the word of God using scientific knowledge as a yard stick because any yardstick is supposed to be more superior than what is being checked or verified. For us Muslims the Qur’an is the Furqan i.e. criteria to judge right from wrong and the ultimate yardstick which is more superior to scientific knowledge. But for an educated man who is an atheist, scientific knowledge is the ultimate test which he believes in. We do know that science many a times takes ‘U’ turns, therefore I have restricted the examples only to scientific facts which have sufficient proof and evidence and not scientific theories based on assumptions. Using the ultimate yardstick of the atheist, I am trying to prove to him that the Qur’an is the word of God and it contains the scientific knowledge which is his yardstick which was discovered recently, while the Qur’an was revealed 1400 year ago. At the end of the discussion, we both come to the same conclusion that God though superior to science, is not incompatible with it.
• Yes there is. The bible. Near Death Experiences. People who speak to the spiritual 'relm' etc
• Not for me, and that's all that matters. If there is for you, good for you.
• If there was proof there would be no need for faith. Depending on the extreme one wants to take it; how can you prove anything to anyone if they choice not to accept your truths as their's?
• It kind of depends on how you look at "God" Some people see God in nature, so see a reflection in themselves, and in that case that "Proves" to them that God exists. The Same with love. U need to ask yourself where u see God. Theres no sin in admitting that you don't know something. In fact, it's better than convincing yourself of something that will be wrong afterall.
• No. I'm agnostic.
• yes, endurance, longevity, and fame of HIM ,HIS BOOK and HIS SON....It is Amazing Grace...
• Just don't know for sure. I do wonder why God did all his communicating with humans over 2000 to 4000 years ago but actually left no tangiable proof that he is real. Well,,, there are those two sets of the ten commandments chisled in stone. Where are they now?
• we cant prove either existance or inexistance of god by the means of logic it's faith...if you have the faith you will belive...if don't have...you won't if i ask you to prove the existance of elctromagnetic waves...can you do that logically??? i'm sure you can't...but surly you are belive in elctromagnetic wave existance because you have a cell phone :) similary, we can prove the existance of god. i hope you get my point
• I think the myriad symbiotic relationships in Nature is evidence of some higher power. I don't believe it's all an accident. The evolution from multiple gods of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans to a singular deity prevalent in most religions today has some logical basis. Having accepted this premise, I'm comfortable calling this deity God.
• faith and proof are mutually exclusive
• My proof is my life... there is no way I should have survived as long as i have (i had a difficult birth almost died because my heart was failing, i was fine after birth, my mom didnt look after me only my sister who was 20 months older then me and other things)i was in many dangerous situations when i was younger... something had to watch over me thats my proof thats all i need the fact that i lived through everything i did when i was little is enough for me
• i believe in God. He has proved Himself to me through my own experiences, but that would hardly convince anyone else. there is no concrete proof either way on this issue.
• I don't believe in a god. I don't believe because there is no evidence for the existence of a god. Making the claim that there is a God is an extraordinary claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence--not proof. That's the way I live my life. I'm okay with those who base their belief on faith. I just despise it when they try to push their beliefs off on me by claiming knowledge when they have no evidence.
• It depends what you mean by God. In the general sense, it is almost impossible to prove the non-existence of something. If you mean the Christian God, it is still difficult to prove His nonexistence. It is possible to prove that the earlier parts of the book of Genesis are wrong, but the rest of the Bible could have happened if there were a God. Sine the proof of God is in miraculous happenings which, by definition, break the known laws of nature, you cannot use the laws of nature to disprove God. I personally doubt most of the events ascribed to God, but since they are miraculous in nature, I cannot prove my doubtsw, I can only state them. Therefore I can only state that I see no sign of God, and find nothing explained by the hypothesis of God that is not equally easily explained by "it just happens to be that way".But I don't think I, or anyone else, can disprove God in the generality.
• nope. but we have hope because if we didn't think that there was someone out there who was always watching over us, even though they weren't necessarily standing right next to us.... well it's just sad for me to think that way.
• I do believe in God. God does not require proof. Only belief. The only thing that should matter is whether or not you believe in God. Not whether one has proof or not.
• its impossible to disprove a god not because he does exist but because when creating the idea of 'god' we gave him every ultimate power including free will and the ability to be completely unseen
• No and no. However, there's little reason to think there is a God that takes an active role in human existence because there are too many moral dilemmas involved (i.e., why didn't God stop the Holocaust?). So God as a religious figure is probably definitely out.
• The platypus is a prime example that God exists and has a sense of humor. A mammal that lays eggs and has a duck's bill. This is the work of a freakin' genius.
• no and no, but think about it: If God does exist, he has the power to make himself not exist, as he is all-powerful. So in my opinion it would be hard to prove anything either way. And proving God's existence is besides the point in religion anyway, because its based on faith: believing without proof.
• I believe that the photos of the hundreds of Pharaoh's chariots found under the Red Sea prove both a huge miracle and Gods existence!
• This constant search for proof of God's existence or lack thereof tickles me to no end. It doesn't matter if tomorrow someone had definitive proof of his existence or definitive proof of his non existence. Those folks who this matters to will continue to use their faith of either idea to hide whatever truth that might get in the way of that faith. He exists if we think he does. He does not exist if we think he doesn't. But what of the folks like me who happily sit in the middle neither believing nor disbelieving. I think even we would question any proof one might offer one way or the other. I hold to the idea anything is possible. That's how I have dealt with it.
• for me it's the smell of a new baby, sunset or majestic tree's. I have no doubt.
• There is no proof. Only evidence. I choose to accept that the evidence is an indication of God's existence. But it's not necessarily an indication of benevolence.
• When we are born we do not have an in-built belief in a God or gods of any kind. The natural human state of mind is not to believe in something that it has no knowledge of. . It is only the influence of parents, peers and society as we grow up that causes a person to acquire knowledge of, and belief in, a particular god or set of gods. The burden of proof is on those that make claims which require our natural state of mind to be changed (i.e. believers in God)If you want to change something you should have a reason to so and evidence to support your reasoning. . It is in any event almost impossible to prove that an entity like God does not exist and even if it were possible I suspect that the vast majority of believers wouldn't accept it. The difficulty in proving the non existence of God though doesn't lend any weight to the notion that he does not exist. Take Zeus as an example; Christians don't believe in Zeus. They can't prove that he doesn't exist yet no Chistian would say that this fact makes his existance any more likely. . Proving that God exists however, should be a whole lot easier. We are supposedly dealing with a being that created us and our world and has an interest in what we do, is capable of communicating with any and all of us at any time or carrying out actions that we can see and understand. If God does exist then there are countless ways in which he could demonstrate His existence to us if He wished to. So we should expect to see all kinds of evidence out there confirming this. But of course we don't - not one single piece in fact. . The only possible answer then is that God does not want to reveal His existence to us - and this is the position that many belivers take. Faith, belief of His existence without evidence, is apparantly what God wants. . Aside from this being non-sensical and illogical it's also not true according to the holy scripture of all major religions. God supposedly used to interact with mortal man all the time. He gave them laws, helped them in battles and changed the forces of nature to aid them when required etc. This is all in the past though, in fact, just about far enough back in the past as to make these incidents unverifiable. Of course nothing like this happens today because have the technology to record and analyze such events. . The existence of God is an extraordinary claim, the evidence for it is unfortunately extraordinarily lacking.
• No, I DO NOT believe in god(s). I'll admit it, I have no authoritative proof that god doesn't exist, but I'm not dumb enough to ignore the strong circumstantial evidence against the existence of a god or the lack of any testable physical evidence regarding the same god and any widely held scientific beliefs regarding any impossibilities having to do with the known laws of physics before I'd let primal fear, ignorant superstition or blind faith rule my existence.
• There is a saying that goes: "For a skeptic, no evidence is enough. For a believer, no evidence is necessary."
• If Planck's Constant were off by a miniscule amount, life as we know it would be impossible. That was just one of a multitude of factors, each of which had to align that precisely. Now, the chances of each and every one of them lining up in just this way on their own is so minimal that it may as well be zero. Therefore, something must have been driving the process, so to speak. That universal driving force, whatever it is, is God.
• There is no proof either way, but here's a clue: What other invisible people do you believe in?
• There is no proof either way, so as an atheist all I have is proof that specific religions are wrong.
• I believe in the possibility of a god but not in the likelihood. I think it is wise to believe what you see but not to rule out what you don't. I have no proof either way.
• Of course there is no proof either way. Belief is about faith and vice versa, not rationality. They are two seperate thought processes which are not compatible for argument sake. I know what I believe. Proof or no proof I have come to this conclusion as a result of what I feel comfortable with and what I am able to accept is compatible with what I understand about the world, the universe and where I fit into it. No one could rationally argue it this out of me by bringing proof as far as proof goes all sources can be contested to some extent. A lack of proof demonstrates nothing except what has not yet been discovered.
• If you believe a god exists you have faith..... If you have reasoned a god does not exist you have a free mind.... Proof is not always the benchmark of reality....
• I do not like answering these kinds of questions because I generally get some very rude comments. Yes, I believe in God, and there are many many proofs of and for His existence; both religious and secular. Might I suggest you check these web sites and maybe you can make up your mind if you wish to believe or not to believe...These sites speak for themselves. http://www.illustramedia.com/tppinfo.htm http://www.illustramedia.com/scripts/ThePrivilegedPlanet-web.pdf
• I do not believe in god. I know of no absolute evidence proving his existance or lack of existance. In my opinion, non-belief is the default state. It is the responsiblity of the one making the miraculous claim to back it up. [Edited for spelling]
• Yes i have proof within myself that God Exists. Direct experience of God within Myself. Don't have to prove it for you, only have to experience it myself.
• 1) If you ask such a question, do you have proof God is a "he"? 2) Nobody has a proof either way, just evidence or belief, but it is something personal, it cannot be proven to anyone else. Or there would not be logical Theists or Atheists. I guess there are, though.
• i look at it this way. at one time Jesus Christ walked the earth preaching, teaching, and healing people under the name of God. if thats not proof enough i must be blind. and also, if the bible is false and your saved like i am then we'll be wrong and nothing will happen, but if all the athiests and unsaved are wrong, their burning in hell for eternity. think about it... better to be safe than sorry don't you agree.
• absolutely and I am in good company. "Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy". Benjamin Franklin:) "Wine is constant proof that God loves us and loves to see us happy". Benjamin Franklin:)
• yes, no but i just can't see this is all by chance, someday that will be answered.
