From This Moment, by Shania Twain. I hate her, but the song is special to my wife and I. Every time I hear it, I'm reminded again how lucky I am. Not ashamed to admit I get teary just thinking about the song and my wife, even.

Outside of Town, by Geraldine Fibbers. It goes something like... "I'm drownded in sorrow I'm drownded in scorn I knew my life this way since the day I was born I've never known nothing bu hunger and fear And the love that you gave me was lies to keep me near In a field of new grass you first lay me down I met you there baby, just outside of town A fool I have lived And a fool I will die But you're going to the devil for making me cry "You smile so sweetly..." my momma would say "But you're wicked my little girl..." "When death comes, to heaven you never will go..." 'Til then I will love you 'Til then. I know that I'm damned And I know that I'm lost But I'll take my revenge whatever the cost Please tell the angels to turn their pretty heads I can't bear them to see me when I kill you dead I'm ruined for love and I'm ruined for life I'll never bo nothing I'm ready to go Please tell my momma my heart it was broke At a very young age Of this we never spoke Tell her the man she loves is going cold in the ground And her only baby is hanging outside of town "You smile so sweetly..." my momma would say "...But you're wicked my little girl..." "When death comes to heaven you never will go." 'Til then I will love you 'Til then..." Anyone who can hear that song and *Not* have a mini-emotional breakdown is something less than human.

Mine isnt really as deep as everyone elses. I graduated 4 months ago, and one of the songs we all sang along to was "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol, so now whenever I hear it, it not only reminds me of graduation, but also EVERYTHING from school.

Any song that has the word "beautiful" in the title. You are So Beautiful- Joe Cocker You're Beautiful - James Blunt Beautiful - Christina Aguilera
-
As of now it has to be "Gloria" by Patti Smith. It's.... it's just AMAZING! When I hear it I'm like, now this, if nothing else, is a reason to live. This is what life's all about. I know, that sounds extreme, but this song's extreme. Here's the video, not the best of quality, but still amazing.
-
"Who Knew" by Pink. It's actually kinda eerie the similarities between that song and what happened to my boyfriend.
-
Alway's Look For The Silver Lining - I hear it all the time on the Turner Classic Movie station

Most of these remind me of things, like being a kid, and my parents, and moments I've had in life that were tough, and some of them just have lyrics that touch me. Some of them are kind of embarrassing to admit at this point but they still make me cry. Be warned- I am very sensitive, thus there are quite a few Savage Garden- Truly, Madly Deeply Joe Cocker- You Are So Beautiful Alanis Morissette- Uninvited Sarah Mclaughlin- Angel, & I Will Remember You Augustana- Boston Coldplay- The Scientist Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin- It's Me and the Moon, Cavanaugh Park, Globes and Maps, Rescued & Konstantine Green Day (the old)- Good Riddance Shania Twain- From This Moment On Our Lady Peace- 4 am Blink 182- Adam's Song (typical), I Miss You, Always Evanescence- My Immortal(typical again) Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Map Semisonic- Secret Smile Vitamin C- Graduation (Friend Forever) and lastly (at least I think) *hides face for next one* (but it really got to me when I was younger with the deathly like video and such) ... Brit...tan...y....Spears....- Everytime

He Ain't Heavy.....The Hollies It is such a nice song. I would do anything for my brothers.
-
Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O'Connor. This was my best friends favorite song while she was battling brain cancer. It was 5 months from diagnosis to funeral and she played that song almost every day. If I'm alone in the car, I'll listen to it, but if the wife or kids are with me, I have to turn it off. I well up every time I hear it.
-
Stronger by Brittany Spears, I don't know why but everytime I hear it I get teary, it came out a couple months after one of my closest friends was murdered & her case is still unresolved. Maybe where it says my loniliness ain't killing me no more, I guess thats what it is.

Celine Dion - Fly We played this at my son's funeral. Always tears me up

I would have to chose Father of Mine by Everclear. The song may not be that depressing but in a way If you replace father with mother it is depressing in my case. That song describes exactly what my mom did when I was little. It is very upsetting. Some parts aren't exactly like my childhood but most are. Especially the part when he says "Sometimes you would send me a birthday card With a five dollar bill".. My mother did that after she left... That is why this song makes me cry when I hear it.
