  • It's good for kids to be involved in many kinds of activities, competitive sports included.
  • its good teaches them how to win and lose well and to actually try for something, and teamwork too.
  • On the whole, it's good (teaches physical skills, discipline, working with others, cooperation, handling success/failure). Keep misbehaving parents out and leave it to the professional coaches and phys ed teachers.
  • very bad all children learn and study qur'an no time for sport or games.
  • It really depends on what values the parents have taught them. Not what values they spanked into them. Also depends on if the coach is supportive and a good mentor.

  • It's good as long as they are still allowed to be just kids too and aren't under too much pressure. Homework should come first and it should be made clear to them that being a good sport and enjoying themselves is more important than always winning!
  • Competitive sports benefit a handful but hurt many. In one recent year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, 4.3 million children were treated in emergency rooms for sports-related injuries. A number of deaths occur each year as well, primarily from brain injuries and heat stroke. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5133a2.htm

  • I think alot depends on the coach! If he is too competative,he could be very bad for them.Children should be children not tools in a game he is playing.Like Little League,it`s good for alot of reasons, but the tournament games are usually too much!Coaches get carried away sometimes. They should make sure to watch out for heat stroke etc.
  • very good for them, providing they have good sportsmanship, each child is an individual, some just cannot take it if they don't come first, those children should not be involved in sports.
  • its good and bad. the games need to be monitored. some kids dont like it and shouldnt be forced to play. everyone should be having fun. no one should be angry or depressed or non active. there needs to be monitoring to weed out the ones who arent game oriented or sports oriented.
