Open windows or AC in the summer?

depends how HOT! I much prefer the 'natural': open windows in winter and summer! My ideal day is one in which I don't have to use either the ac or the heater! BUT I don't do 'hot', so ac when needed. Never let them see you sweat!

I am very much for opening windows rather than using electricity BUT it really depends where we as full-time campers are living, Right now we live on the south coast of Texas, we had 92 degrees F. and over 90 % humidity. At least while cooking and working in my trailer I have to switch the A/C on. During the night I keep up with my sweated through pillow......

I always open the windows when I can. 85º (F) and the air is coming on.

switch the air conditioning on because of noise pollution outside and also bugs flys and birds fly in and drive you mad,plus if its hot outside you are letting more heat in.

most of the time i like the windows but if it is too hot i use the ac

I open them at night to let cooler air inside. Then I close them in the morning to keep the hot humid air outside until the evening breeze comes. Indoors I use ceiling fans

I open the windows, we don't have a lot of air conditioning in Ireland, but one day last week it was really warm and I went into a large department store and it was so cool in there, I didn't want to leave.
