well, it doees not really anger me as much as it makes me feel sick and unwell and unhappy that such occurs.

Yes! But people have a different opinions on what is "cruelty". For example I would rather see a shelter dog be put down with a bullet instead of being gassed. I see is as a more humane death. If I had to pick from those 2 I would also chose the bullet in the head over being gassed.

It does; because they can't protect themselves from some of the cruelty people can dish out.

Sorry all ... I should have been a little more specific with the point ... I recently had an argument with a guy who had his dog in the back of his parked pick-up truck, pouring rain and freezing cold, he then took the dog out of the truck and tried to walk him away, the dog refused so he dragged him by the chain and dog was terrified the dog . My friend with me at the time said that obedience was needed and his actions were not so cruel. Hmmmm?

All and any kind of cruelty to animals angers me they are innocent animals and they trust us to take care of them

I even think it is cruel if you do not dicipline your pets! If a pet does not know where he stands in the family he will only be punished for his behaviour. Same things with children by the way, parents blame their kids because they do not behave. How can you blame them and punish them for not being raised properly. People who harm their pets on purpose are just sicko's. An animal only responds to what you (not literally) feed him. Do you feed him anger he will be angry and false. Do you dicipline him and give him love he will be a sweet pet.
