There's food that isn't cooked properly, raw meat and places that just aren't sanitary.

Red meat increases cancer risk significantly. Red meat contains both toxic compounds and heme protein, both of which damage the lining of the cells of the digestive tract. The consumption of red meat is strongly correlated with high incidence of colon cancer and pancreatic cancer, and the regular consumption of red meat more than doubles the risk of some cancers. I can't provide the source, but I have read that consuming even a small amount of beef (2-3 ounces) on a daily basis has been shown to raise the risk of cancer significantly. In addition, red meat has been associated with chronic inflammation. Plant-based foods do not contribute to plaque, and they do not promote cancer. Rather, they heal the insults of daily living.
