WHY the need to get DRUNK ... ? Think about the morning after with the throwing up and the hangover and tremendous headache .... Also; drinking too much on a date can lead to actions that have serious conserquences like having a BABY ..

Drunkeness on the first date is a clear sign of what's to come in the future. I can understand someone having one drink to calm their nerves, but it's not the best solution for someone trying to make a good first impression.

it's not a good sign. but sometimes it happens accidentally. For instance I am not a drinker, but I will have drink now and then. I have a low tolerance for alcohol, and depending on the situation one or two drinks can hit me quite hard. You should let them know that you don't think it's cool and that it upset you, then maybe find out if that's the way the person is. I would hate to have been judged on the few time that I had too much to drink.

A big No-No. It is something I had never done, and would not stand for my date doing - until my first date with my S/O. I can't remember the last time I got so drunk. Completely embarassing. I'm lucky he could see past it! He hasn't seen me drunk since - nearly a year and a half.. so I don't agree with others that it is a sign of things to come at all. Just a momentary lapse!

I'm with Corgingus. Getting drunk on a first date when most people are trying to make a good first impression says one of two things and possibly both, either your date doesn't think you are worth impressing, or your date is an alcoholic and can't help getting drunk daily. Either way, I wouldn't give him/her a second look.

it's an omen...there's no good reason to have a second date.

Well, never say never, but my best first dates didn't go beyond the second glass of wine.
