  • No, closed-mindedness is not a good thing, and tolerance is glorious only compared to bigotry. Sometimes up really is just up, and down really is just down.
  • I don't see how being closed-minded can possibly be a good thing. It's closed-mindedness, intolerance and bigotry that keeps everyone from having equal rights...civil rights...human rights. That's only a good thing for bigots.
  • No. Because such is what inspires demand for tolerance.
  • Not ever, not in any circumstance.
  • i am open minded to all and all things. to each his own but to society as a whole is another story, it needs to be kept CIVIL..as in no slavery,no racism, no discrimination, for example..u can't have the job if u are white, gay ,etc...., .....but as for my self ,i will not TOLERATE certain things...which is my civil right...bad behavior being one of them...i will not tolerate certain issues that I STRONGLY believe are not civil to be shoved down my throat or my childrens and neither should anyone else.... im not closed minded to certain ISSUES....very well aware of them and what they mean as a whole...thats open minded...the ones who ADAMANTLY keep demanding not a personal right but a right taken away from civil morality or ethics , are the tunnelvisioned and close minded....:)
