So what's your view on water boarding? Do we follow Geneva convention only when it's convinient? How would we feel if it was done to American soldiers?

I think clearly it's torture, it's a violation of our values. We didn't come all this way as a country so we could return to the Spanish Inquisition. That is not who we are. And indications are... it doesn't work anyway.

I love water boarding, the wind rushing through your hair, water splashing on your face as you rush along the surface of the water, very fun indeed...Not sure what Geneva Convention or American Soldiers have to do with it but I sure hope they have as much fun as me when they are doing it...

That is nothing. Ask the vet how it flet to be skinned a live and burnt and sexually abouse. Get real . American soldiers know quite well what torture is.

Water boarding saved Los Angeles from a 911 style attack. I'm all for it. The Geneva Convention doesn't cover non-combatants. American soldiers and citizens are killed by our enemies. They don't stop at torture. I'm sure if you could ask the soldiers killed, they wouldn't mind JUST waterboarding. We don't cut or electrocute our prisoners. Don't buy the lie that we are as bad as our enemies. We here in America do what ever it takes to keep us safe, if that means ripping the fingernails out or waterboarding,,,what ever it takes, if a group of people are trying to harm Americans they can suffer the consequences.

"How would we feel if it was done to American soldiers?" It IS done to American soldiers. Pilots and others are waterboarded. It's part of their training. They need to know how to counter-act the procedure and survive. Would you have us give the enemy the secret to surviving also? If one had to list the torture techniques with BE-HEADING and the top, waterboarding wouldn't even make the list. The enemy can think up ways to torture that normal humans minds could never imagine. And, if you bother to read the report, it did work. It worked because they thought we would let them die. They didn't know that we wouldn't let those sick rats continue to live another day. When we start having sympathy and understand for our enemy, is the day this country will no longer exist. Even if you hate the United States, it IS better than anything else out there.

It's torture, and it's usage is illegal under the international treaties that the United States has signed.

During WWI and WWII some of our soldiers were waterboarded. Our government demanded that those that waterboarded our soldiers be brought to justice, and they were, some were even executed. Waterboarding is torture, plain and simple, end of story. We are a country of laws and principles.

I accidentally clicked on a site where a 12 year old kids was beheading a man. It's such savagery that it's impossible to describe. Water boarding is a walk in the park compared to that. It's evil, demonic, barbaric, uncivilized, beyond cruel, sickening and everything you would expect of a totally backward sub-human culture. It only takes one glance and everything you've ever believed about the evils of water boarding will be erased.

The entire US Congress, including President Obama and Vice President Biden, stood by idly for the last five years while it was being done. I'd like to hear the explanation for that.
