  • Yes, indeed!
  • I'd like to elaborate by ignoring FawQue.
  • That would be a good idea.
  • that seems to be a great idea, it would also cut down on a lot of the battles between AB'ers.
  • I think this would be a good way to initially deal with people like Chubb. :)
  • I would be afraid that I would be left out in the cold!
  • An ignore feature wouldn't be effective. The one you want to ignore would just go make a new account. You would spend most of your time figuring out which user is the one you want to ignore. The best way to ignore a troll, is to ignore them. Don't answer their questions, don't comment on their answers, don't make questions about them. Trolls want attention, so the goal is to NOT give them attention.
  • Sounds like a decent idea. If used properly, that could really help with damage control when there's trolling going on. But wouldn't it get a little complicated if a user whom you hadn't chosen to ignore posted something in response to something posted by a user whom you had?
  • Yes, indeed...then we could block trolls and people with unwanted comments/answers and questions.
  • no i don't,it does not seem fair to all people. I don't care if this gets rated down, this is how i feel.
  • no, that will take away the idea of an 'open forum'. we are here to learn and help, other peoples views are important to this! some people just need to learn to pull there heads in!
  • Great idea in principle. Not sure how it would work in practise, though. What if you chose 'Ignore' for someone who 'converted' and became a useful contributing member after they realised that this site is not just a chat site?
  • No. This has been asked for and rejected many times before. The reasoning being just because you have a disagreement with Mr A today or on thread 1, does not mean that he will agree with you next week or on thread 5. There are many people I have had this situation with, once 4 of us all got PB'd due to the heated "discussion" but I now speak to and interact with these people with no problems at all.
  • I'm all for it
  • Surely one has a choice already to Ignore the answers/questions that one "Sees".. no need to read them if you don't want to? Just ignore and move on x
  • I think it is an excellent idea and should be added
  • Yes. Most definitely. This is a standard feature on most discussion boards. It puzzles me why AB doesn't have it.
  • No, I don't think that's a good idea because if you ask a question, that might be the only person that gives you a good answer. Why block information that could help you. And besides, there are enough glitches here to deal with and fix before adding new things.
  • No. Most forum sites are limited in scope. I have seen people passionately agree with me on one issue and passionately agree with me on another. The same people who are at each other's throats about religion or politics may be diehard fans of the same sport team. There are positive interactions that have transpired that would have likely never came to pass if there had been an option to ignore. If I have a question, and the person who is best qualified to answer it is ignored, everyone loses.
