I leave all day long so I don't think it would work for me because I am in and out. But that is just me.

That would be nice it never seems quite right to just leave when people are still sending you comments. A Goodnight or operations suspended would be a good idea

I think that answerbag needs to develop a few features such as private messaging and status notifiers.

I guess I'm just not that close with other users, but when I'm leaving I just leave. I suppose we could institute a little icon in the profiles that you could turn on when you were gone for a time, and turn off when you were around... I dunno - never really thought about it as I don't have on-going conversations with people.

that could work. as i, myself abruptly leave the site even when iam still receiving said comments to my questions..i hate to just abandon my post without some form of announcement to my fellow members-hinting to them of my departure

I randomly drift onto and off of the site, quite erraticaly, so I never really leave rudely. However, maybe there should be a symbol under your avatar telling you're done.

There are so many users and so many questions from what I see, scrolling constantly that I don't see any great need for this. It's not like we are all typing or talking to each other networked. :) When you gotta go, you gotta go.
