YYYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSSS.the CIA does absolutely nothing.Unfortunately my opinion is just a statement. i`d have to tell Barack Obama this.

No. You need them because their job is a specialized positions that require the right trained personnel to make it work. I believe there are more good things then bad that the CIA have done, but cannot be outright publicize the details due to National Security.

they do a lot that puts threats to the usa into check. i argue that the role of the cia must be expanded to include economic / financial espionage.

There should be more oversight - there should be nothing that the CIA can do that is not overseen by the house of representatives. Anybody caught doing anything outside their knowledge would get an automatic, irrevocable life sentence.

Yes, simply for the reason this Agency is formed around the idea of watching our enemies. Since when does America Have to have enemies at all times. Since the end of WWII we have been at war with one ideal after another. We are a culture raised to glorify whole sale murder. And the CIA accomplishes that goal. Either by killing Foreign leaders, rightfully elected to power, who just happen to disagree with some of our policies in the sake of their own national interest. Or they create the enemies themselves. We are making enemies out of the world so we can go about and murder Men Women and Children with impunity. I mean how can Blackwater and Halliburton exist with out the CIA. And I know this sound like I am laying the worlds woes upon their feet, but how can we honestly allow a Secret World Police exist when we can't ensure any of our citizens security in day to day matters. I say we should take hard look at the problems of our country rather than say everything is a terrorist's fault. We need to admit our shortcomings as a nation, and as a people. -end rant-
