Why don't most children accept playing with out-of-date dolls?

    Well, one of the reasons is influences from other kids. They may be under the impression that if they like 'out-of-date dolls', they're 'not cool'. Also, there's always the influence of relatives, especially older siblings.

    Just my opinion -

    Children are like adults; we all want the newest, better than last year, more fun, and more features!

    No retailer promotes last years "dolls". There is always a new and better (________?), and that is what children see. (i.e.: last years doll walked - this years doll walks "AND" talks! ).
