"Emotional" seems to be worse, because many people think it degrading to get emotional help and so they live with it.

I do not agree with that....."That which don't break you only makes you stronger". I have been called many things when I was younger I assure you my willingness to prove them wrong has made me the person I am today, and I love me! . As for which pain is worse physical or emotional to me they are dead even. Only difference between the two is with the physical you can see it and takes no time at all to spot, with the emotional it takes longer to notice and is no way visible until after you get to know someone!

I believe physical pain hurts for a while then goes away. Emotional pain hurts and stays with you, and can reappear at times when the same situation comes up again, or in nightmares.
