  • Yes, and this has been documented in studies. Heck, anything that diverts your attention makes your driving suffer, like smoking or the radio. But very few things as much as talking on the cell phone - in any manner.
  • Yes, I think driving and talking on the cellphone at the same time should be outlawed! I can't tell you the number of times I've seen some idiot that was not paying enough attention to where they were driving because they were too busy yapping on the phone.
  • Yes. When I'm driving down a two way street I wonder why some people look like they're purposely trying to hit me and then I look up and see them on a cell phone. All of the focus goes on talking instead of driving.
  • Yes. Even if the person is in the car with you, if you're fixated on the conversation instead of your driving, the driving suffers. Handsfree helps keep hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, but doesn't eliminate distractions.
  • I think that as long as their hands are free it's ok but the ones that are holding the phone up to their ear are dangerous.
