  • I hope that you're gotten it done already, it's been a while since you asked this question, but I hope that I can help you. Some people experience a bit of pain when it's done, even though there are no nerve endings in that bit of cartilage. Also it is possible for it to bleed a little. When I went into get mine done I heard horror stories of how much it hurt, and that it would be painful to get done, never mind afterwards. I have had no problems with it so far. I didn't find it bad at all. When they pierced it there was a bit of pressure, it kind of felt like when you're on a plane and it descends. It wasn't bad at all. My main problem with it is getting it caught on stuff (hair, shirts, arm during exercise, pillowcases). Apart from that I love it. I clean it with Magic Dragon Mist. It's made for piercings and tattoos. It's an all natural antiseptic. It doesn't dry out the piercing like hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol would. Another great thing is to use lavender oil after cleaning. It promotes healing. But make sure that it is all natural. No added scents. You won't be able to sleep on the side that you get it done on for a while afterwards. It differs for each person. Make sure to rotate the jewelry at least once a day. Anytime you touch the piercing make sure you wash your hands before hand. DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide, neosporin, polysporin, rubbing alcohol, or anything to that affect on the piercing. The alcohol dries out your piercing and the cream/gel can seal germs and bacteria into the fresh piercing.
