Do you answer questions on AB because you know the asker will give you points fast or because you are truly interested in the question and would like to answer it?

I do like answering questions and starting a great conversation. It's never about the points.

I enjoy talking and sharing. Sadly enough I can't talk on here, only type so is next best thing. Points are ok but being able to express myself means much more.

It's questions where I can contribute in some way and/or I am interested in the other answers.

I answer because I am interested, my goal isn't to make 8,000 points a week. Besides, unless it's a new question, I don't know who posed it until I click on it.

Usually because I know my answer will chuck a spanner in the works. This amuses me to no end.

I've never answered any question for points. I do it to help people and to meet people.

I truly only answer questions that generate my interest in some way. Conversation and sharing ourselves is what it's about.

I answer the daft questions for a good laugh. Unfortunately for me, most people don't usually see the joke.

I don't answer questions for points...I answer questions because I believe with my age and vast background in many subject areas I can truly help others with their problems and or questions. My problem is many do not understand my answers fully and the information goes over their heads. The do not agree with the references I give or they just want to argue with me about one point or another. I don't mind debate but don't care for it when I am called stupid or an idiot. I pass up many questions I could give very good information on just because I do not want to argue about some point. This is an opinion site and just because someone does not like my opinion they make all kinds of hatful and rude comments. I do not always agree with their comments but try to find where we agree and work from there. I will admit that after 5 or 6 very rude comments I do tend to get back at the commentor/s then stop commenting with them. I hope this explains my position on your question.

Questions have to appeal to me in some way, or I give them a miss. Progressing up the levels is fun too, but for me it's more about the interesting conversations and having fun while laughing with friends from all over the planet. There are many people who race to get there, and that's okay too, if that's what they want to do. I'm more like the little boy who dilly-dallies, and stops to play with pets and friends on his way home from school, getting there just in time for supper. :)

I answer questions that either interest me, or I actually know the answer to. Receiving points is secondary. I keep AB open all day & access it several times a day. Very enjoyable site.

I like to answer questions, I also like to be involved in comment threads. The points are a bonus when they arrive.

Because I'm interested in answering the question. If I target someone just because they like to give points, other people that normally give me points...probably wouldn't, and that would just straight suck!

I only click on questions that I want to answer. The points are great but if it were only to get points, I would answer any kind of question.
