  • i had an episiotomy with my first two children. I had one or two absorbable stiches (I didn't pay much attention to them, because all I had to do was keep the area clean). With my last child, I had a c-section. That's a very different ball of wax. I had absorbable internal stitches and 5 or 6 staples on the external incision.
  • I had an episiotomy and ripped, resulting in a third degree tear - I went into theatre and had one continuous stitch...
  • I had an episiotomy! And the BEST thing was, I ended up even smaller than I was before. Doc did a great job!! I don't know how many stitches. But I lost so much blood I was a smig away from a blood transfusion. I had to spend 2 1/2 days instead of the normal "1" day because of the blood loss. I passed out a few times. BAM hit the shower floor!! +5
  • On my third child my wife got torn. The doctor was late and the attending was an intern. Dock showed up and stitched her but it was never the same. We are used to it now. I like to strangle the guy. He was playing tennis.
