  • Not only is it acceptable, it's necessary, since jobs report your time there nowadays and prospective employers will see it. If you really want to look good, be 100% honest about it and give a good explanation as to why.
  • If you've had time between jobs, don't create a chronologically based resume - make it skills based. Have the timeline on the second page and DO NOT explain gaps between jobs. You can always explain gaps in an interview. There is no way to make a short message on a resume look good, so don't do it. Save it for the interview, IF ASKED.   • It's ok as long as you can explain gaps. if had a resume that focused on computers but had to work at a gas station to get by that could come up in an interview.
