Men are from Mars Women from Venus is alot of Bull! It's been proven we are more alike than not. If one listens to society than that statement would be true. What do you think?

I don't agree with everything those books say but they're not complete bull, they hold some truths and practical advice, many people have read them and can relate. I like to see something to back up the claim where it says we men and women are more alike than not. After all, we're disagreeing here : )

Well one of my favourite quotes is "We are two different genders, not two different species". Acknowledging and valueing some differences can be empowering..as long as we don't take this difference to override our common humanity and ignore the basic fact that we all have dignity, dreams, ambitions and rights than difference is not a problem. The issue here is HOW different are we (the whole nurture vs nature debate again) and HOW are these differences interpreted in terms of social institutions and practices...

i think men and women USED to be more alike than they are now. women want to be in a commited relationship, men also want a commitred relationship, but they dont wanna be faithful to it (go ahead and DR, im used to it)free sex has been a major dividing factor between the sexes because, although, women DO enjoy casuel sex, when they are in arelationship, they want it to be faithful. men, want the steadiness of a relationship, but all that free sex out there just drives them NUTS!

We are not alike besides basic bodily functions to a certain extent. All is unbalanced. Differences is what makes the world not similarities.
