Earlier computers had only a tiny amount of memory and storage devices were equally tiny. However, they could fit an operating system on a couple of 1.44MB floppy disks and an entire office suite on about a dozen - compare that with today's bloatware.
There is more than one of today's computers.
My computer fits in my lap.
Collosus would not fit in my house.
Well definitely access to the Internet now and networking.
Speed of the CPU, more memory, better graphics, and even smaller.
Can even put a computer in your pocket now of days.
The XT PC computer was slow in the megacycle the RAMS was in the bits the H/DRIVE 8-10-mega and with known defects . had to format it yourself. BOOTING it up meant get a coffee break. It all done with DOS and had to learn DOS to get around. one advantage was it did not use as much power 6o watts total
but mordern computers are faster more compatible and light to use
It's basically the same, but now it is digitally logically similar. Some day, we may live in a computer in order to save space, even in a black hole.
In addition to the other obvioius answers ...
Mice. Plus the keyboards are way better now. USB ports and devices. External media choices and devices. Memory.
I have windows 2003. I can't open microsoft outlook. I need step by step info to set it up.
